Brent Carr

Brent Carr was born on June 6, 1979 in the small South Carolina town of Cowpens. His parents Don and Nancy Carr raised him in the old fashioned, Holy Ghost anointed atmosphere of Mountain View Baptist Church where he gave his life to Jesus March 10, 1985. At the age of 17 Brent surrendered to God’s purpose for his life, preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In 2002, Brent relocated to North Augusta, SC to attend Victory Baptist College and to learn under the tutelage of Dr. R. Larry Brown and Dr. Steve Hurte. In 2006 Brent earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Pastoral Theology and in 2008 earned a Master of Biblical Studies. In 2011 Victory Baptist College bestowed on Brent an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree for his dedicated service in teaching and leading others into the service of the Lord. This was one of the most memorable moments in Brent Carr’s life.

While serving the Lord from 2002-2012 under the leadership of Dr. Brown, Brent worked full-time on staff at Victory Baptist Church. He began by vacuuming auditorium floors and cleaning toilets in the church restroom. However, God led him from these humble beginnings at Victory into full time service for God. During these 10 years he served as Assistant Pastor, Minister of Music, Vice President of Victory Baptist College, Singles Director, CARE Team Member, and many other areas of church leadership and ministry. Brent dedicated himself to serving the Lord with every ounce of energy he had and in doing so served the people of Victory Baptist Church faithfully through song, sermon, and spirit.

In 2012 God began to shift gears in Brent’s life. Many doors began to open up for Brent and his family to use their talents and encouragement in churches across the southeast. Through these open doors Brent has seen a God given vision to “provoke God’s people into finding God’s purpose in their lives”. Through this vision God has allowed Brent and his family to come into contact with cancer victims, wayward teenagers, broken families, struggling churches and lonely preachers. In each case he saw an opportunity to reach out to the individual and reach up to a Sovereign God thus doing his part to answer God’s call in Ezekiel 22:30:

"And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land…"

In June 2012 Brent, Katie, and Caroline stepped out into full-time evangelism by faith and is giving everything they have for the cause of Christ! The Carr family will be traveling to sing and preach in revivals, youth meetings, leadership conferences, and campmeetings across the country.
